I'm currently running Win Me and I've grown tired of it running incredibly slow. My system has a 1.1ghz Athlon, 256 RAM, Santa Cruz sound card and my new baby, a GeForce3 Ti200. After all of this upgrading I still get minor glitches in games grrrrrrr. So people have basically told me XP is quicker and more stable then Me. My other reason for thinking of upgrading is that my system has been doing wierd things like not booting up properly and having to boot into safe mode first and other strange events. I'm thinking my Windows install is on it's last leg and a reformat is becoming immenant, so if I reformat I'm thinking of doing a fresh XP install.

Now my questions, Most important has anyone successfully run SDOE on WinXP yet? Will Xp make my other games run smoother (IL2 OFP etc.) like everyone tells me? and I was wondering if people have had any major incompatibility issues with there hardware or anything else? I figured I'd ask for your guys honest opinion rather then read a bunch of Microsoft propaganda about XP lol Thanks all.
