to FR's, game engine etc. when I add custom sounds and textures to each individual plane folders. Does this have an effect on how fast the game runs and will this effect my frame rates? thx. FQIP: Logged |

There's no real answer to this, it depends very much on your PC, if you have a fast PC, good g/card and good sound card, then you will probably not notice any slowdown at all, on the other hand, if you have a slower machine, say less than 700mhz, older g/card, and standard 16bit sound card, you will notice a difference. The only suggestion realy is to try it an see, older g/cards and sound cards rely heavily on the CPU, where as newer ones don't, so an on an older system your CPU has much more work to do, and so gets slower, but you'll realy just have to test and see what happens.~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Thanks Nat, I think I remember some time back someone said that custom skins will cause FR hits. I'll give it a try and see if it really makes a difference. I hope not because the addons really improve the game for me, thanks.IP: Logged | |
