I had the same problem with buttons not having labels on them. I uninstalled SDOE and reinstalled from the CD and reinstalled all the upgrades, it seems ok now.

I had that problem to but under very specific circumstances. I had installed on a new system and I encountered the CD bug which I had never run in to on previous systems. Since one is supposed to at least start a mission once before installing the 1.5 patch, and I could not find the CD fix, I ran the game once using 1.5.2.10 and ran into the issue you describe, but I expected things to be a bit goofy. Then, after installing 1.5, things were fine.

I was instructed to load the game on the employment place XP machine so I could test the Video card. Really! That's what I was told. I guess I'd best do it before somebody gets mad at me. Won't be until Monday though.
Haven't got to it yet. They think I should work instead. Crazy, eh?
