Topic: Unable to see anybody on servers

Woof everybody... I recently installed SDOE and flew a few missions to get the hang of the FM.. I like it..ww1 and ww2 in the same sim... even better as I am an old FC pilot who migrated to DoA only to have no updates or patches stale my experience. (no ill feelings inferred to DoA pilots) So, after getting comfortable in a couple different planes, I decide to try my luck online, but alas, no one and I mean no one was online all day or all night.. I tried all of the servers, Australia, Germany, UK, and California (best ping) and I seen no one... that was yesterday.. today I just checked, nobody online today either...  First thing, is my installtion corrupt in some way so that I can't see anybody, or they can't see me? Or, are the people flying only on weekends? I have watched this board over the last couple weeks patiently waiting for SDOE to arrive and I see a lot of people showing genuine interest in this game.. I am a ww1 pilot with no real home.. was hoping to make a bed in front of the fireplace around here.

G'day  I am from Australia and most of the times that I like to fly online there is never anybody else showing on the servers and this is probably because of the time zone differences. However, many people still get together and fly online on the weekends on the Cal 12 Server from 21:30GMT onwards, Friday and Saturday nights (northern hemisphere) being the best from my own experiences. To ensure that you are compatible with the rest of us who fly online at the above mentioned times you'll need to have the following set up:
FS cd, Patch 1.5, Nations2, PP6.0 & PP6.1 and finally, Patch 1.5.2.10. We also use the brilliant Bavaria terrain very much in our online missions so it is a 'MUST HAVE'. Hope to see you online sometime soon..  ------------------

IS plane pack 6.0 and the 6.1 update necessary for online play in WWI or is the WWI plane pack 2 all thats needed?  IP: Logged |

Woof.. Thx fer the info Karaya 2.. please send me a link or url for the Bavarian terrain.. I looked on simfiles for it, but to no avail.. lets hope we can generate a few more brave souls to log on a bit more often than the weekends... woof, Doggie..IP: Logged |

Dogfyter ... if you are running the 1.5.10 patch, you may not have the updated Servers.dat file. This would mean you are seeing the unpatched game lobby, which will be empty. I can mail you the file if you can't get it elsewhere. Also, the Online Standard for OPWW1 does not need the PP6 or 6.1. That is for WW2. All you need is: OPWW1 Planepack 2
OPWW1 patch to PP2
WWW Patch 1.5.10 and you are good to go. There are usually guys online around 21.00 GMT most nights, and definitely at weekends ------------------

oh well, thank God for RB3D. I almost got to fly online wit Spudder and his friend, but they wanted to fly WWII FM and I of course didn't have the correct FM to join em.
