Downloaded the IL-4.
Unzipped it to a folder on desktop.
Looked at file structure and no 'named' aircraft folder just the .sm files and a texture and sound folder in there.
So created a folder under the aircraft section in SDOE named as 'il4' .
Moved the files from desktop to new folder.
No hanger mission aye?
Tried to create a mission in editor.........just get 'performed illegal operation' and CTD.
How can i fly this bird in SDOE am i missing a start-up ref or am i naming that folder badly?
Any help thnx in advance

Yes, as Diego says, fixing the folder name should solve the problem, it should be IL4.This aircraft was never completed, and I don't currently have any plans to carry on with it, that doesn't mean it'll never get finished though, I or someone else will pick it up again sooner or later. The IL4 never was planned for public release, it was something I wanted so I made it, and gave it (as I do with everything I make that no-one else has) to my good friend Jeeves, who has always been an inspiration to me. As the IL4 stands, she's a good plane to fly IM, handles nicely and is within actual FM spec, all thats realy left to be done on her is the cockpit work. So as she stands, she's a good Beta plane with no hanger missions ect because she was built for personal use or for people I chose to give her to, but if any help is needed then feel free to ask. She's built to conform to x9/x10 patch. IP: Logged |

I've tested the IL-4 and love it.
Had no problems doing missions. I'm going to post a test mission tonight unless someone else does it.
What is it missing exactly? Secondary level LODs? I find the cockpit nice, what is it missing? Except it's a bit unusual to find an altimeter in feet on a russian aircraft.IP: Logged |

It works now i changed to uppercase. (its raw coding that keeps me from those capitals)
Its a very nice bird although i found that its got a hell of alot of lift from those wings.And for me seems a bit nose skywards but what the hell do i know? I only drive cars and i generally like those to have the nose in the dirt

i installed the plane but when i opened up the mission editor to make a mission to test it out there was no new plane in the plane list???IP: Logged |

It isn't listed just as the IL-4 in the ME, but as ILyushin IL-4....sometimes I spend a minute or 2 looking for it as IL-4....maybe it is as easy as this?IP: Logged |
