Hi everyone. I have SDOE and the 1.5 patch.
I cannot land any of the planes without damaging the gear. I have read copies of the manuals for theP-51,P38 and B-17. Those specs didn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Deano!

I haven't broken landing gear in a long time, I don't say this to belittle you, more, I say it just to emphasise, practice is everything, don't lower you're gear till airspeed is around 150mph (some landing gear will break if you lower them when going to fast), land with full flaps around 130mph, and on touching reduce flaps to one notch to help stop bouncing, more than anything, just be gentle, come on low for a good distance to help you more or less glide into the airfield, and keep trying, you'll get it in the end

Are you in the cockpit view when you land, if you are instead use the F2 outside view until you get the hang of it, this gives you a better idea of your height, and remember to pull up just as the plane goes to touch down to reduce the crunch.

I find F3 even better. It always keeps you directly behind the plane.

I tried the long approach and it worked. I use the chase view like was mentioned for the best view landing. Just need to work on the single engine fighters though!

Thanks
Deano!

well, the P51 and the Me262 had very weak landing gears, it was a problem w/ the original release, u should try to install the planepacks, things shoud be ok then...

P.S.
Btw, when u r approaching don't "drop" on it, try to come down as smooth as possible, closing almost immediately the flaps to reduce the bouncing...
