As far as i know there is no sidewinder ff
profile.

but you can use a empty profile, i use this too and it works out just fine.

the joystick does absolutly nothing in the game

Configure your stick in Control Panel, Then Game Controllers, then click on it and then properties. Follow on screen instructions.

I know how to get to the screen
I set up a "empty" profile
game still doesn't repsond
do I have to edit the Keyboard.inp file or something?
I have 2 installs, one is 1.5 regular and the other is 1.5.2.9
I have a Microsoft Force Feedback Precision 2.0

hmmm...it seems my Gamepad is mapped as game contoller 1....that could explain it considering the gamepad controls the plane

Is this problem only in the .9 patched version? It does have some problems with assorted joysticks. Mine won't let me drop bombs etc with my stick button. I seem to recall a fix being mentioned here but I forget what it was. I've stopped using the patch version for this reason.

I got the throttle working
I just changed the keyboard.inp file like this

inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickAxisRX : 0

to

inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickSlider1 : 0

everything else seems to work except the sensitivity is extremely high even tho I have it set close to zero
