. Decided to update my drivers and something weird happened.Preface this comment by telling you what my system is. P3 Nvidia Riva TNT 128 mb ram 500 hmz win 98 so.. I have updated the drivers before,(and I can't remember what the last one was!) I went to the NVIDIA web site and downloaded a driver called version 12.41. When I restarted, my screen was off center. When I started the game the screen was offset as well, I adjusted my desktop screen, but I don't know what to do about the game screen. I just want to return to what I used to have!! help if you can!

SS, have you checked your device drivers to make sure you have the settings correct for your particular monitor? That is Drive/control panel/system/device manager/monitors P IP: Logged |

Ok, went there, and it asked me if I wanted to update the driver. I said yes, and it said "The best driver windows found is already installed for this device." The location for this driver is windows/inf/delmon97.inf..... it asks me if I want to install a different driver or hit "next" and continue using this one.Sturm IP: Logged |

You can go back to the old driver assuming you haven't deleted it. Or you can right click on My Computer, then Device Manager, then Display Adapters, then highlight the one you don't want or remove it then reboot. Windows should find new hardware and install the driver for it. Then if you're feeling really brave you can reinstall the new driver again. But I think it isn't the right one for your video card.IP: Logged |

In your resource of computer , select properyty, and delete your video card , after restart the computer , when the system search the right video card driver , install the generic video card drive , restart and install the right video card drive . IP: Logged |

Sturm, do you run SDOE in a different resolution then desktop? If yes than change the desktop resolution to the same settings like you use in SDOE.Make all screen centre changes so it looks OK.Now go back to your previos desktop resolution. If you start SDOE now it should works well.Same if you have trouble with other games.Rendsburger IP: Logged |

Just to let you know, When I updated my drivers, instead of centering the screen using the software utilities, I did it with the buttons on the monitor.Everything worked fine after that. I don't know why this happens, but different versions of the driver can create differences in the scanning on the monitor and cause an offset. IP: Logged |

I have this problem too every time I update drivers, and sometimes in games when I change resolutions. All I have ever had to do was first adjust the screen, using the monitor controls, at the desktop level.. then repeat the process in-game.. and all is fine.Hehehe - 'all'. It's a pain in my - er - behind is what it is, but it works. The only time it didn't, it was because my monitor was going out anyway.
