The Gods are against me! WHen I go into P1529,and hit network the "chose connection type" screen is blank. I ve got the current servers.dat file. advice , pls.

are you sure you have the correct server.dat file? Try rhis one from simfiles: http://www.simfiles.com/scripts/singlefile.php3?fileid=77

Thanks Rends, but have D/L'd/re installed that about 3 times already! ( once more into the breach, my friends!!!)

I'm at my wits end. Have d/l'd that file and re inserted, to no effect. It was 1.6 Kb in size. Is there another server.dat file, out there? Or would this be a line in sdemons.ini, that needs amending?

SOLUTION FOUND! Rends made a suggestion, I tried and got my connection back. He suggested COpying Anet folder in to my PAtch folder and EVERYTHING works now! THanks to all , for your help and patience!
