I've been finding that the AI for other aircraft (both enemy and friendly) seems very unpredictable and poor in terms of navigating, choosing targets, and ground attack (though they're lethal at dogfighting and with bomber turrets, once they decide to attack). They rarely obey orders to "attack","follow me", etc, and frequently ignore enemy air and ground targets even when their waypoint order is CAP or Sweep. For example in the first mission in the "Ju88 Terror" campaign, on encountering the enemy Ju88s the rest of my Mosquito squadron ignored them and continued flying onwards to the waypoint, leaving me to fight them alone (needless to say I was very soon shot down by the concentrated fire of about 30 gun turrets!). And in a mission I've created my Typhoon squadron refuse to attack enemy flak guns, simply flying around above them and getting shot down. If given the "attack" order they just drop their bombs or rockets instantly, wherever they are.
This occurs both in missions I've designed, ones created by other people, and official missions.
Has anyone else experienced this, or am I (as with my "bouncing bomb" problem) just stupidly doing something wrong?

I noticed that in some missions too that AI didnīt do what he should even if you give him the command to attack. But i also found out that you you have given AI the attack comand a few times and then they will do.MAybe it has something to do with the loyality setting in Missioneditor

It's a combination of loyalty, sanity, and agression and morale (a pilot with poor morale doesn't like tangling with a nasty target)

The best example of a pilot with max loyalty, morale, agression and a low sanity setting that doesn't do a darn thing you tell him half the time, but is a fighting demon in the air would be . . .
The Polish pilots that flew under the US and UK air forces.

Hmm.. I'll have to try fiddling with the AI settings and see what happens.
I noticed in the last mission I played (the Beaufighter air-to-air combat training one) the Fw190 I was supposed to fight just flew in a line straight past me, ignoring me, and I couldn't catch up with him.. the AI seems most of the time to be utterly oblivious of either air or ground targets, and just flies between the waypoints it's been assigned.
