Hello gents.

You probably get tired of answering this kind of question.

I've just gotten FS-SDOE, installed it, added the FS Patch 1.5, the Nations v.2, the Planepack 6.0, and copied out the keyboard commands. Wings and Wires helped a great deal with all this.

However, the game I bought (from Unbeatabledeals.com) came with no documentation. Where can I go from here as far as configuring my joystick, and what else should I be looking at to be relatively well set up for on-line play?

And where does any on-line play take place?

Sorry to try your patience, but I have to start somewhere and hope someone has time to answer.

Jonny

Dig around on the CD, there is a cpoy of the manual for SDOE. I can't remember if it's in pdf or HTML format though.

They buried the documentation so well, most people can't find it when they first look for it>

Also, go to this website, go to the onl-line section and you'll fnd atutorial on how to join an on-line game. It will make your first time on-line much easier.

Thanks, Weasel. I'm a CFS1 and CFS2 junkie from way back, but I've never tried FS-SDOE. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm looking at it as a total novice, and it has features that I'm not used to, but it looks better than CFS1 or 2 in some respects.

I appreciate your help.

Thank you to you too, Jughead, for your tips.

Jonny

Configure your joystick through the Windows Control Panel then Game Controllers. The game no longer does it.
And don't worry about asking questions. Nobody here minds in the least. It's one of the best things about this game/forum.
