Hello all.
Just a small problem and I'm not sure whether its an issue for SDOE or my desktop, but how do you make movies of combat flights in SDOE?
I can see a cmd key in keyboard.ini, which doesn't seem to work
Also there is a file in the movies dir in the fighter squadron folder which has an extension wich is not familiar with me - how the bloody hell do you play it?
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Hi Jonners,

Regarding the movies, remove the ; in front of the command for video recording in the ini file and this will activate the command so you can use Shift Z to toggle video capture. After you record, a bunch of .bmps will be saved to your SDOE directory. If you have Paintshop Pro 6, this also has a program called Animation Shop included. First convert the bmps to jpg and resize them to about 500 x 400 or something. Now compile the lot in Animation shop and save the animation as .avi video. You can then use Windows Media player to play the videos. I recommend not recording for more than a minute or so because of file size, but if have disk space, go ahead! My site has many videos of SDOE combat, try the NBCi server link below for now, because I haven't moved everything to the new crosswinds server yet.

Grand, Harman, thanks for your swift and comprehensive reply
I am at work at the mo', but looking forward to replaying and preserving some of my more dicey moments to hard disk as soon as I get home
Cheers

P.S I've been to your site many times during boring lulls at work to view your screens! Takes a bit longer on my puny connection for the movies though.
Thanks again!
