I really enjoy SDOE, particularily the online Network missions. Is there anyway to copy them to training or another file to play them off line?
Thanks

Yup...open up your missions/Network folder....find the ones you want to play offline....copy them....then go to one of the other mission folders, or make a new one (Like Missions/Dover...or Missions/Offline)...paste them in and there you go...

For training-- just paste the missions into the Media/Training folder under the appropriate plane.

Then go into the game and if you hit the Training tab and the plane (or the Missions tab and the correct folder) they should be there.

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that I do not have a folder called "Network" only "Media/Missions/Multiplay" and the folder that is in the Multiplay files is "Notes.txt" which when opened says "Files used by main program are placed in this folder". Have I incorrectly installed any aspect of the patches? I have Patch 1.5; Nations v2; planepack ver6.1; WWI Test Pack2.

Uncas; No, you are ok. The online missions are in the Missions/Multiplay folder. You may want to check what terrain the MP mission uses; you might get strange happenings if you copy a MP mission using the Dover Terrain into the Missions/Rhineland folder. If not sure, best to be safe, or ask one of the mission gurus like Jeeves how to use the Mission Editor to open the mission file and check. Enjoy!

Some mission guru....I got the wrong name for the folder

Sorry Uncas...it is the Multiplayer folder

If that folder is empty of MIS files, that means either you never got any sent to you online, or they got cleaned out somehow. I believe there was an online mission pack under the SDOE section of http://www.3dgw.com/simfiles/

Either that-- or play online some and there should be files in your folder...at least I think that's how it works

BTW-- you can put those multiplayer missions in any of the terrain folders and the game will still start them up despite what folder it is in...but it is just as easy to open one up and look at the map to know as well....I will be happy to help if you need anything further...

I play the network missions offline by choosing IPX Network, and adding just myself to a game. The computer fills the gaps.
