Blast, did this help at all, or do you need more info? Any pics you want to post MUST be on the internet, you can't post a link to a pic on your hard drive (common mistake)

OK, so given that the pic is on the internet at yours or another website, you would type in the full url, http blah blah blah etc, but before the http you would type (remove the * ) [*img] and after the address you type [*/img]

One word of warning, some ISPs don't allow one to link directly to an image. I for one have never been able to post pictures here for that reason. I get a box of the proper size, but the image won't show up. Just in case anyone gets this effect, I wanted them to know why!

I am experiencing this problem too... my sig shows up sometimes for some people but most of the time not (I use nbci)... usually a xoom logo shows up instead of the pic.

Xoom/NBCI doesn't allow picture linking, you need a site that does, I'm not sure which do anymore, but maybe a search of the help and General forums would give you an answer, someone was asking about this not too long ago and some free sites were listed that allow picture linking.

Now i'm really confused I know that i'm being a bit of a Mr Thicky Thicky here, so here's what i know, I have UBB code is on, whatever that means.an add attachment would make life simpler, and as to having an image on a web site already and not on my hard drive or it won't work I just want to get an image on this site first that would be enough.

this isn't a site as such, this is a message board we can't add anything to their server other than what we post, so you can't put a picture on their server then add the link here to display it, you can only display a picture in your posts if it's on a website first, and then one that allows picture linking.

the last I heard geaocities stoped it aswell, I could be wrong on that though, but even so, your sig isn't showing up

This is what I had to do to see the sig:
1. Right click on the red square where the picture should be.
2. Open the properties.
3. Copy the address there.
4. Past it on my web browsers address.
5. Hit return to go to the site.
6. Hit the back key and it show up in the buliten board.

Kind of a hastle but it works...
