first one of the PC's needs an internet connection, modem, Cable, DSL, whatever, but it obviously has to have one. Next you need some softeware that enable the second (or other computers in the LAN) to share that connection to the net, I'm not sure how much this software costs, but you can usualy find it on the net on sites we're not going to talk about here.

Basicaly you setup the main computer as a Network and Internet server.

Windows 98 has a function called Internet Sharing. It's exactly what you want. You may have to upgrade your version via Windows Upgrade (oddly free from Microsoft) Then read the help files on how to set it up. Try Tools on the menu bar in Internet Explorer first. Click on Windows Update and follow the directions on the screen.

Sunray- internet sharing is only available with 98SE and later.

For 98 versions earlier than SE, you need to buy some kind of gateway softwarelike WinGate.
