SchaF - first, I presume this does not happen offline? That is a start point. As for your SDOE setup, sounds the same as mine - and I use OpenGL - except for the WW1 testpack. I doubt it is any of those things, as mine works ok.

Did you notice anything common on the crashes? Same mission, maybe? Similar planes? Any extra add ons, like terrain? Shouldn't cause a error message like that, though...sounds more like app.exe is encountering something unexpected, and can't reconcile it. Anything else running at all in the background? Especially virus checkers? If so, try running online without them, to see if it happens again.

Isolating a problem like that might be hard - have you posted this in the Patch section, or at the patch forum? I know it would drive me nuts, but the patch team could probably help better than I am.

mmm... I'm running with D3D, ww1testpack2, PP6. and patch 1.5.2.9. Have'nt gone through every aircraft in PP6 but everything runs sweet. I've noticed a few posts with plane probs using PP6.1 thou, any chance of you switching back to PP6 and trying again..

slight update:
1.) when i was runnig sdoe with 1.5.2.9 i couldn't see ehm..reticules (?) insome planes or maybe in all (sorry i haven't checked..alwasy forgot that - i'm sure for spitfire that came with the game) (tho there is in d3d)
2.) i tried game in d3d, well i could fly 1 single mission, come into second , started the engine, went to f2 view, look aorund and when i was going to change to f3 game crashed with no msg..just quit..
soo..what choice do i have..reinstall sdoe or what? btw:when i changed back to d3d graphics r so bad..razoredges half of cloud not rendered nicely and so on..i want opengl ! :()

If you are using Yardstick's gunsight pak the reticules don't work with the patch in OpenGL. At least the Spitfire one's don't. I don't remember if they work in D3D or not.

If you go to your standard 1.5 you can see them...if you're having the same problem I did.
