My joystick is very old and does not work very well, until I buy myself a new one, is there any way to fly the planes using the keyboard?

Somebody posted this exact same questions months ago and we all gave a resounding "Yes you can, but no you can't" answer. It is possible to fly via the keyboard, but you will have absolutely "0" fun because you won't hit anything and everthing will kill you. Sorry to say, put FS aside until you get the new Joystick.

Or you could use the mouse which is weird but very possible when you get used to it.
Open up your keyboard.inp file and look for

inpStickXAnalog = JoystickAxisX.

Just rename Joystick to Mouse and do it for the Y axis as well. You may need to look around and change the fire guns command to Mousebutton1 or whatever key you want on the keyboard.

Any questions just ask. Anything is possible with SDOE.
