HeinzBaby Pilot	posted 06-09- 04:49 AM all I got so far is Pacific and Somme terrains, But after I choose a flight [training or mission] it takes 5+ mins to loadup..vers 1.5 loads a lot faster. I have a P500 with a 16MB TNT card, anyone else noticed this...HB IP: Logged
goth Pilot	posted 06-09- 08:25 AM I notice it because I selected a different resolution and graphic device, which means each time I load a new theater the textures are being redrawn. I havent stayed in one setting long enough to verify that it would kep loading slower. IP: Logged
Nat JAG	posted 06-09- 02:20 PM if you switch between different versions then the cache files are overwritten, meaning loading takes ages, but to be honest why anyone would want to switch is beyond me other than aircraft being destroyed far to easily and pilots dying at the first sign of damage x.9 is great IP: Logged
Jerry Pilot	posted 06-09- 03:01 PM Nat, it not just the switching between patch/non-patch that causes the slow down. Just switching between terrains does it. The game was designed for 3 terrains. Now we have, what, 5-6? The cache is only so big so even without changing settings I find that the loading takes longer when I swithch between terrains. I think you can change the cache size but I'm not sure which ini line to change and what to change it to. IP: Logged
