I know it's the wrong site for this question, but I tried the official CFS-site and that site really sucks.
Maybe one of you can give me some answers on the following questions.
1 What do I need to play the game properly?
2 Are there any other sites besides Simfiles for some great downloads.
3 Can I get the same chase-view as SDOE has?
4 Any other hints or tips are welcome.

Don't be frightened. I still like SDOE, but I wanted another flight-simulator besides SDOE. Keep up the good work ! I still love it!

you need one gig of hard drive space, at least 128 MB of memory for it to run smoothly, the faster the processor the better, and lot's of patience.

If you've spent lots of time flying SDOE planes- the FM's will drive you nuts. After I got used to the eye candy, it started gathering dust. i even tried the upgraded FM's. The speed, climb and other stats are closer to real life, but the planes still don't FLY. It's like driving a car rather than flying a plane.

2nd flight sim huh? Don't ask me for advice cuz I have every prop sim but nations and B-17II and I only play them for a change of pace once in a while. I like planes that fly correctly.

You need 2 cd-rom drives cos it comes on 2 cd's . The book is nice, remind me which flight sim you asked about again ?

Tailslide's site is good for other links for the game that I forgot.

Actually you still only need one cd-rom.

It installs the majority of the game files from one CD and that's the last time it asked me for that one. You do have to insert the 2nd CD when you wnat to play though.

I wouldn't try flying their P-38 in the same day you've flown the P-38F in SDOE (thanks Razer). The CFS2 FM is pretty screwed up.

Thanks for the site.

As I read your comments I know just one thing. For some fancy flying there's nothing better than SDOE. Thanks for putting me straight.
