Hey I would like to know where to find every thing I need to create a plane. I understand that I need someting called openplane. Now I have found lots of downloads but none really sound like the basics that I need. It would be kinda of nice to be able to make that kind of stuff. I know that I will probably need more than 1 big file but that's fine with me.

Hi 71Hemi,

I know a site offers a freeware 3D modeller and animator, called funnily enough: Anim8or

I'm guessing here, but I'm probably the only person using this program for SDOE, but Rendsburger used it on his Ju52, and Scorpion Rouge uses it for his ground objects too, so it's a good start for a newbie and it's free

Version 0.62 was released recently too, go to www.anim8or.com and be sure to check out the tutorials they have there. *Very* helpful indeed.

Next, get OpenPlane Studio. Not sure of the link, maybe someone who reads this can post it.

Also, get 3D Exploration. This is 3D file format viewing and converting program that will allow you to 'clean up' the .obj 3D files that you create and export from Anim8or and get them into OPS properly. Sometimes anim8or doesn't export the 3d parts properly, and you have to open and re-convert them to .obj in this proggie. This doesn't happen all the time though, but when it does, use this.
