I am trying to do some loadout research for the planes in this game and am desperately wanting this book:The illustrated encyclopedia of aircraft armament :a major directory of guns, rockets, missiles, bombs, torpedoes, and mines...by Bill Gunston I have looked everywhere I possibly can and have a couple places doing searches for me. It has been out of print for a while....if anyone could look at their local library or in their collection for this....please contact me!

Jeeves, have you asked your local librarian about an inter-library loan. There is a national listing of library holdings that they can tap into and find out if any participating (most do) library at all carries it. When they find one, they can order it on loan. Order placed  Now let's just hope that means the book is there and on it's way!!Jerry-- I tried using my library's online search of the area's libraries....but didn't try a nationwide search  I don't mind paying for it....it looks good....but if for some reason the book isn't available, I will try that. Thanks guys!! ------------------

Good to hear! Hope it works out. My one experience with them was great. The book I got through them, a hardback edition of Keith Kyle's "Suez", was described as "good" on their site, but to my eyes, it was excellent. Hopefully this bodes well for your order too.------------------

Go to booklook.com for a small fee they will locate ANY book for you. Do tell them in ADVANCE to notify you by phone, or they will notify you officially by mail, and by then often the book that they have found, will be sold by their source.KJSIMON IP: Logged |
