I just had to reinstall SDOE, including the patch version 1.5. For some reason, The prop on the P47D has a strobing effect and the gunsight is not centered when I use the F10 view. It seems to me that I had these problems when the P47 first came out a year or so ago, but I can't recall what I had to do to fix them. Does anybody know?Thanks, G-man IP: Logged |

Seems to me that the prop fixes, um, fix it. Does yours flip around like a grasshopper when you start the engine?IP: Logged |

Okay, I've got the prop and the gunsight figured out (I think!). It looks like when I reinstalled the game over my existing installation of SDOE, most of the original files and properties were retained, including PP6.0. However, I did have to reinstall Patch 1.5. If I'm not mistaken, all of the original loadout.ppf and .sm files for the P47D were included in the .par files that were part of PP6. In other words, I shouldn't (or don't need) to have any of the files in the /media/aircraft/P47D folder. Is that correct? Well, now I noticed another problem. The landing gear won't retract. On the first attempt (hit 'G'), the gear goes up but then comes back down. Hitting 'G' does nothing after that. I've noticed this on other planes including the I-16 and teh Bf-110C.

Please disregard. I've fixed the prop and gunsight problem (an old .sm file had gotten into the P47D folder) and I realized why the gear wasn't retracting on ALL my aircraft. I had been modifying the keyboard file and accidentally put in the command to toggle the landing gear twice! I need coffee!
