When I'm playing the mission, the game returns to Windows after a while.
SDOE-control gives me a 'invalid floating point operation'.
I can chance the textures to 40 MB, but when I leave it turns itself back to 10 MB.
Can someone help me?

P.S. Congratulations to Dave Hunt. I love his Spitfire XIV. It flies like an angel and the sound is awesome !!!

Is it with all missions or just some? How 'good' is your video card? Sometimes it's a heat thing. The SDOE Control thing is likely a corrupt file. Delete Control and re-install it.
Hope this helps.

I don't believe it's a card problem. I've got a voodoo 4 4500. And after the problem I can still restart Fighter Squadron and play another level without problems.
I had the problems with Subhunt and an African campaign level.
I've never had in the training levels.

Sounds like corruption to me. I've found some of the user created missions didn't have the correct nation (nearly all the BOB missions are like this) picked for a particular aircraft and the game would just refuse to got involved. A quick edit of the mission and it'd work. Sometimes if a mission requires a particular aircraft and you don't have it, the mission won't run either. I've never had trouble with the Sub-hunt but the Africa thing gave me some headaches. As I recall.
I have had trouble with missions stopping before I was ready. I think it's got to do with over heated Video cards. Try playing the mission with the hide/lid/cover off your system unit and see what happens.

Question...

Doesn't a computer give beeping sounds when the video-card overheats? I had that problem with my old voodoo 3 2000. This is why I bought the voodoo 4. I don't have those sounds and the computer keeps working normally.

Not neccessarily. Mine is a really crappy 4 meg on board card that just crashes to desk top(CTD) when it doesn't want to play anymore.(I have no intention of spending $500 plus for a racing video card) I'm just guessing about the heat thing really. Try doing a search of this forum to see if there are any better answers.
