On the mission editor how do you get your group of B-17's to bomb a specific target? This is when you are not in them.

go to the properties of the target...make sure it is on the opposite side of the bombers (axis-allies) and set it to be a mission objective..then just place the waypoint over the target

never heard it done that way Vahnatai, with the waypoint I mean, generaly for bombers you would set the waypoint that starts the bombing run some miles before the actual target to give the bombers time to form up for the bombing run, and the waypoint ending the bombing zone a couple of miles after it, set the width to about 2 miles to stop them being distracted by other ground targets.

Just so I got this right If I make the bombing are 2 miles long and 1/2 mile wide and there is only one target in it, it will bomb that target.

Make sure the allegiance of that target (Set under Properties in the editor) is different from yours (so if you are in a Fort- the target must be Axis)-- and it should! This seems like a stupid response- but many have made that mistake before

Another thing about bomb runs, you might want to stretch that run out to about 6 miles so the AI has enough time to aquire the target.

I personally don't go narrower than a mile, even in congested target areas.

You can end the run just past the target. It'll help hustle those bombers out of there and maybe get them home safely.
