I'm now flying the old Logitech Wingman Force, but I want to buy a new stick, or changing this one...

Is there a way to connect pedals with this stick?

Or if not... What's the best stick for the game? I'm thinking of the new Wingman Force.
Is the pivoting stick a good feature?

Please give your verdicts...

Thanks !

Jan, I have this stick (the REALLY big, older one, right?). I have mine plugged into the com port (not game port) and have the CH pedals plugged into the game port. This setup works very well for me.

I assume that if you used the USB port for the stick that you'd still be able to use pedals via your game port, but I haven't tried that... still running Win95 OSr2 (and proud of it! hehe) so that's why I do not use the USB option myself.

I am not a "twisty-stick" kind of guy which is why I got the Logitec device; it has the FF AND allows me to use pedals.

Question WWdubya...

What kind of pedals are you talking about?
I don't have any pedals and I haven't found a shop in the Netherlands who's selling those damn things.
Could you give some info on the pedals and where I can get them?

Already Thanks

Sorry guys This message is in dutch.

I had one of those before a power surge took it out. Wish I still had it. CH pedals work with it just fine.

For a FF stick with a twist handle, stick with the Logitech Wingman Strike Force 3D FFB stick- here's why.

The MS FF stick and cheaper Logitech wingman stick both use gear driven mechanisms for the FF effect. The Strike Force uses cables like the old Logitech stick you have. Some heavy duty testing was done on these sticks and the cable driven version outlasted both gear driven sticks. Either the gear teeth would strip, the gear would slip on it's spindle, or the motor would burn out on the gear driven ones first.

Build your own pedals! It's easier than you think. I built mine for about $20 US. I've got a web site showing how to do it step by step. http://www.jgrosaerodrome.50megs.com/

... if you don't want to build your own... ;-)

CH has been known for building quality game controlers. Ive had my pair for like 7 years now. They can also double as gas/breaks by the flip of a switch if you want to do driving games too.

I also use the old Logitech Wingman Force. Connected to a USB port. I have used CH pro pedals connected to the game port. I now use Thurstmaster Elite rudder pedals. To my knowledge this is the only FF stick that lets you use pedals.

I have also used stick twist action (MS Pro), IMHO there is no comparison. For economy the twist stick is ok, but if you want real control and action the pedals are the only way to go. I would give up FF before I would give up pedals.
