Yes. It is a game patch not an operating system patch.

And please let us all know how well the games works in ME. I've yet to hear anything good about ME so I'm curious.
Thanks.

I've had ME since the day it came out...on two different systems. SDOE runs just fine and overall I would say ME is more stable than Win 98...fewer (hardly any) lockups and CTD's. The Restore function can be a life saver and the help function is greatly expanded...allows for a lot of self-diagnosis. Loads and shuts down much faster. Very extensive plug and play driver library. Can't get into a pure DOS mode though.

I pretty much agree with Jerry above. Fortunately, you can disable System Restore and PC Health if you've got a relatively slow system like mine since they drag on performance.

Unfortunately, the lack of Real Mode DOS support really sucks for those of us with old DOS favorites still on our hard drive (Digital Integration's TORNADO). Fortunately, with some help from Microsoft and using my Win98, not my WinME, boot disk as a starting point, I was able to create a boot disk which allows me to play my old DOS favorite, and a couple others, on my WinME machine.
