DX8 has been causing some problems for some throttles (I don't know whether your is one or not). Check the Saitek site to see if they have an updated driver.

Just found out there are known problems with DX8 and USB controllers. MS has released DX8a to correct these issues.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't check forums during the weekend (too busy playing games). You most likly have this url, if not bookmark it: http://www.saitekhelp.com/
This guy is great. He will answer your questions very quick and he is usually right. He also knows about SDOE.

KJSIMON, I'm not too sure what could be causing your problems but I do know that SDOE is a pain to get most sticks to work well with it. When you say analog X36, I take that as a X36/35 joystick and throttle combo that plugs into the gameport (not a USB port model). Also reading your other post it looks like it works fine in other flight sims. So you have the latest patch for it, you are using the right driver for it and it's calibrated in windows? The X35(throttle) is plugged into the X36(joystick) and the X36 is plugged into the gameport? I forget the driver I was using but I think it was either the CH driver or the 4 axis/4 button generic driver. I never had the problem you stated above. I had both DirectX 7a and 8 and no prob. But if you have a USB model, Esox might be a better helper than I. I have heard but I don't know if it is true that SDOE can read only one USB port. Sorry I'm not much help, but post back if you are still having troubles. Also post at the saitekhelp forum and maybe Esox will see this and will have a answer for you too.

Thanks mucho. The next step is to go to Ron Hunts Saitek help center. By the way the Saitek X36 USB works fine...it's just my AT HOME X36 analog throttle that's NOT being recognized...I may have to spring another $100 for the USB...oh well. Thanks again.
