Hy there! After I bought a GeForce MX to give my old Banshee away, I installed everything new. Now (with Direct 3D on each res.) everything looks fine, but the Sky is missing! No clouds, no sun, only blue! What could it be??? I cant play it that way! Thank you! PeteIP: Logged |

Go to options, display and make sure Enable clouds is lit. Also, ensure the renderer is set for D3D primary display before turning clouds on. The reinstall wiped your old settings. last, make sure you're flying a mission with cloudy weather. [This message has been edited by Da Jug head (edited 03-05-2001).] IP: Logged |

Hy! Shurly I checked all this things! Im not so unexpierienced (?) with that game, but this seemed to be a thing that is caused by hardware-problems... Dont know much about the new generation of gfx-hardware and its drivers. But im shure that Im not the only one who had this problems! Please reply! PeteIP: Logged |

Check to see if the manufacturer has updated drivers on their website. If not, you may want to try the Nvidia Detonator reference drivers. Don't be fooled by a new box. I purchased a new video card one time that had drivers on the CD two versions older than what was on the manufacturers website. (Drivers on the CD were over 9 months old) Others are running GeForce MX boards and have clouds. ------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question IP: Logged |

I'm running a Geforce MX card, and have no problems.I run it with Det4 ( 7.17) drivers and DX8 Runs well with no nasties. The V6.31 ( I think) should work as well. Might be worth clearing out the texture cache if that wasn't removed when you re-installed. Otherwise, I can't think what the problem is. The game should run fine ( apart from the yucky D3D side effects.... ) on the MX. I'm looking forward to the patch crew getting a release together with OpenGL support! IP: Logged |
