does it contain some files that new planes require such as the new p-38 , d3a2 etc etc.

Not at this time, no, I believe. As I seldom get planes not in plane pack, or update those that are, I can't be certain. There is a idea though..plane fixes and other objects when placed for download perhaps be identified as 'not in current plane pack', or something.

I think most everyone is doing this, or something similar, already? I do very little addition beyond the plane packs, so am not familiar, but in most cases I would guess if it is a file for a plane pack plane, then it post dates the plane pack.
