I am finding it difficult to find the enemy. It verbally says were they are but sometimes all I see is a tiny tiny dot in the distance. How do I target the enemy to let me know their location?

Also I bought the game, free plus $4.95 S&H, from UnbeatableDeals.com. It came with no manual. Where may I find a manual?

Hey, had to wait another week while my new joystick came in to learn how to play the game. I went and bought a Logitech Wingman Attack stick. The first two were no good. This one has promiss and I can afford it.

Hey Doc,

Press T and hit F1 (when you're in the cockpit), this will activate 'padlock' view and your pilot's head will track the target. If there are multiple targets in one area, just keeping pressing T to switch to different targets.

Also, you can get info tags on each object even ground targets in SDOE, just hit Alt V.

Hope this helps

Doc,

Also, go to www.simfiles.com and download the new keyboard input file. This will update your keyboard map for all of the new planes.. This download also includes a printout of all the keymaps. You'll actually be able to read all the key functions.

Someone also said that a manual is buried somewher on the CD. You may want to browse the CD and see if it's there.

I don't know if an acrobat version was included yet for the keyboard maps. If you can't print out the files, let me know and I'll send it to you in pdf format.

Are you checking the map? It will tell you where all aircraft are and what direction they are flying.

Jerry,

he'd have to know which key to use for the map first

It's the M key Doc, and will only work when you're in the cockpit.

When loading the game, go to options then general. Turn on auto show target info.
For now, when the mission starts, hit alt-v. This toggles target id on and off (actually they call it vehicle i.d., but it's applied to aircraft too.) This will put a small red box up on the enemy when he's close enough to be visible. Friendlies will be in green. This will stay on once you've activated it, even if you quit the game. The setting is stored in the sdemons.ini file. If the enemy gets close and you don't see the boxes, turn it on again.

F1 is the padlock toggle key, it locks the view onto the aircraft you've targeted. if you don't hit T first, the padlock view doesn't work. once you're padlocked, when you hit T it will switch targets and your padlocked view will switch to the new target automatically. At times padlock can be disorienting. So if that happens, hit F1 to toggle it off. You can also leave it on and push up on the tophat switch. This will switch your view to a forward view as long as you hold it there. Letting go will return your view to the padlocked target.

When not in padlock, pushing the tophat switch up makes your view look up through the top of the canopy.

Hey pilots, thank you very much!

All the help was great and I found that manual on the disk with some looking. I never knew it was there. Also I can now shoot down a few planes with the info box on. You can not believe how helpful that info box is. Without it I could not even find the enemy planes at all.

I am very glad and thankful you guys are here to help.
