Topic: Atribuition of a medals in a Mission???

Hi All,
First, many good missions in our Comunity made for many good Builders Have always the same problems the SQUADS and the Ribbons and Medals.
You fly, make the mission,enjoy and when end the mission...nothing...no Ribbons no Medals.
Ok I know...Many guys made new squads...and so on.
My question is this:
Can a atribute at the same time in the same mission a Ribbon and a Medals?
Exemple:
msnRibbons "UnitedStates/Dover/RIBBON#01.BMP"
and
msnRibbons "UnitedStates/Dover/MEDAL#01.BMP"
or How the "engine of the FSDOE" work in this atribuition.Another question is abouth Mission editor. When you define at the Waypoints str's like
bomb CAP or Sweep a new string like strAAA.
Please any one can explain this questions for my???

Just because. If there's no ribbon or medal it's because the mission maker didn't put it in. The points and fun are more important anyway. It's the points that increase your rank(which, I think, only goes up to Group Capt./Col., etc. anyway), not the ribbons and medals. In any case, it's a game. Nobody in the real world cares.
Now, having said that, I think you can edit the mission yourself and give your self any medal you want. Be sure of the pilot you're flying as or you can get the VC while flying as a German. Remember, it's only a game.IP: Logged |

This has been discussed a bit last week here:
http://www.fightersquadron.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004232.html You can't set a medal to be awarded if a particular mission is succesful. Ribbons are awarded this way, on every succesful offline mission your pilot should get a ribbon. If the mission designer has been lazy the default ribbon is a little german cross. Each medal has its awarding criteria, either (list probably wrong, I will check later):
- pilot's score for the last mission
- pilot's kills for the last mission
- pilot's total score
- pilot's total kills
- pilot's total number of missions flown (or succesful, not sure)
But there is no way I know to link a medal to a particular mission. This has bothered me a lot during the development of Nations: France. IP: Logged | |
