As far as I know you have to do all stick related stuff in your 'game controller' folder in control panel. The game used to have a section to calibrate the stick but no longer. It's all done through Windows. I think.

WingSolo, you can do it but I'm at work right now so the info I give you now might be wrong but I'll try. Open the Keyboard.inp with Notepad and look (do a find) for the word "JoystickButton" and make sure that the button you want to use is not being used. Then on the command that you want to assign the joystick button to put this in
" | JoystickButton3" (don't put the " in) so your line will look something like this: inpWeaponsRelease = Enter | JoystickButton3. This line of code assigns the weapon release to the 3rd button of the joystick and the enter key on the keyboard.
Hope this helps you.

OK I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!! lol

both the sticks i use are USB and i never installed the software. I installed it and walahh it had a programmable profiling feature. So i set up a new profile for SDOE , works slick as a whistle.

I have found out one thing in the few short days ive had this sim. Sidewinder Precision Pro is NOT the way to go!!

I plugged in my old Logitech Wingman Extreme and i am MUCH happier. The Sidewinder is waaaay to sensetive for this game.

Thx for the replies and see you on my six

If you want to give the MS stick another try,

go to The Stickworks at http://home.att.net/~stickworks/swdownld.html

Download the CTFJV320.zip file

This is a great utility and will work with the Logitech too.

BTW- given the choice, I'll take a Logitech over an MS stick anytime.
