I have just started playing with SDOE and need some help on the basics of using all the downloads etc that are available. For example I have loaded Plane pack 6.0 and nations but cannot see anything to select Japan. Should I be able to? Where do I get at the Russian missions? I am lost. Is there an intro to all this. I saw a reference 'Dandy Doc' but got a URL not found error. Help!

Run your cursor over the country names column. All the country names should appear.
You'll find the same bug in Missions listings. Once you exceed a certain number they need to be swept by the cursor to show.

Give me a couple of days and I can e-mail you the Handy Dandy Doc. There is not a lot of documentation to this game but this may help.

Most of the downloadable stuff is at www.simfiles.com then go to the FS page. Check out Tailslide's site too, for terrains, Nats site for the boat people(that'd be ships) stuff and the Download section of this forum for tons more. The U-boat, PT boat and a bunch of other neat stuff is at http://members.ncbi/hawkersop(I think that's right. I posted it correctly in the "Help" section under "Missing in Action".)
Don't forget to post a nice thank you to all the guys who make this stuff for us.
Sunray out.
