I have had a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 1 since they first came out and I loved it. I now have the SwFF2 and it's very nice indeed. Apart from there being no shift button it is *very* smooth especially at the centre point where you need control the most.

There is one mystery though. With the SwFF1 sitting in an aircraft on the runway there was plenty of slack in the stick. I.E. there are no forces acting upon the control surfaces, and hence the control column. Once you get airbourne, however, you can feel the forces through the stick. As it should be.

Now with the new SwFF2 this doesn't work anymore in SDOE. It does work in CFS2. Can anyone else verify this? I have stick forces set to OFF in the Sw control panel but get a standard and constant force whether I am stationary on the runway or doing 400mph+. That ain't right

I have an Abit mobo with a VIA chipset and the USB patch installed.

This works properly in CFS2. Why not in SDOE anymore?

Jet.
