If i bailed out at high altitute my pilot never reached the ground alive, because the parachute lived only 60sec.
Is this a bug or can i change this?

I think the obKillDelay on the chute object is set to 60 seconds. I guess they figured no one would want to sit there and watch while the pilot drifts down from 25000 feet

It can be changed easily enough in OPS. Just change the obKillDelay of the parachute (not the "parpack") object in the pilot model. However (Catch-22!) when you change a pilot model in OPS, it will be corrupted so that the chute is detached from the pilot, so it won't work then either

I think Argon V has the workaround for this, but I haven't modified a pilot model lately, so I haven't tried it. If you have Hippie's smd/olc tools, you can manually edit the parachute properties to change the obKillDelay (try 180).

Hmm, i canīt find an obKilldelay at the parachute.

This has to do with obKillDelay and obDamage. Does just the parachute dissappear or does the whole parachuter dissappear? If just the chute, put obKillDelay somelargenumber in the property list. (NOT in the damage property list) and then make sure there is no other obKillDelay on the parachute.

Only the parachute disappear.The parachuter will then fall down.
