It means your graphics card/CPU is getting overloaded. Turn down the sliders in OPTIONS and you may see the blocky clouds go away but at the expense of detail in all graphics.I also get blocky explosions in a crowded mission. IP: Logged |

ScHaF, let me guess you have a TNT or GeForce card, if you do its due to the drivers, I run ver 7.17 and have reduced the blinking to manageable levels but its still there.IP: Logged |

No Jerry, this is a differnt problem than that. I get the blinking clouds too- and I have a Voodoo5. IF I re-install SDOE it goes away... only to come back later. The problem is almost only when I fly on-line. Just the clouds... very annoying.------------------ -Sv Wings with Wires IP: Logged |

hi yes commando i have gayforce2 mx and 6.49 if i my memory serves me right:) btw:it only happens in network game with those ai bots:) and only cloud layer is blinking and names of aircraft with that red square..in normal game everything ok except cliping in terrain, it's kinda annoying but what the heck..i'm too lazy to check every detonators from 6.30 to 7.17 to see if i can get rid of that cliping..i just regret it's glide game..i wish it was opengl:() and yes SV's right..only in network mode ..

I confirm the same problem with a GeForce 2 and my previous TNT1. I have just tried some very old drivers on the GeForce 2, version 377, pre Detonator 2 and pre GeForce 2, it ran very well, but blinking clouds still in offline/online mode like SchaF.I think this is a DirectX problem. I'm going to try reverting back to Dx6 if I can and see how that works. Jet. IP: Logged |

Well I tried DirectX 6 that came with SDOE, but that didn't make a difference either. IP: Logged |
