I am running a K62-500 with 192mb pc100 ram and a Voodoo44500agp video card with latest {directx8}compatible drivers. I am using Directx 7.a. SDOE runs well with this setup. Any opinions about an upgrade to dx8. My usual opinion is if it aint broke don't fix it.

Excellent opinion. Following one's own instincts is usually correct.

DirectX 8.0 has some big problems. I would stay away from it until it is fixed. It screwed up my Saitek X36 USB combo big time
