You may have found this as you were searching on this site for help, but I'll post it in case it helps. If you have a Voodoo5, try not having glide selected.

Just got the game myself a couple of weeks ago. I'm still dealing with some issues myself, but I like the playability of the game/sim. Make sure you d/l the keyboard command file from Ronin. Thanks Ronin!
