Well, after hours of messing around with my new video card, I FINALLY got it to work. I picked up an ATI Rage Fury Pro (with video in/out  ) BUT I can't run FS now!!!!! I get the following error:SDEMONS caused an invalid page fault in
module GDI32.DLL at 0187:bff24771.

Sorry to point out the obvious, but did you reinstall DirectX after getting the new video card to work? Do you have any trouble with any other games?IP: Logged |

Do you have the latest ATI driver? They tend to put out a lot of drivers for their boards. Make sure you reinstall DirectX if you do update the driver.Is this happening when you first start the program? Or when you hit the Fly button and enter the sim? If the latter, maybe it has something to do with the cache files. It shouldn't, but it's easy to check. Delete sdoecache.tex and .dir. Do you have trouble with any other games. IP: Logged |

Several more question- 1. Does your MB have on board video and is it disabled 2. Did you boot to safe mode and ensure the old card doesn't show up under video adapters? Delete it if it does. I can be gone from your normal boot and still show up in safe mode- you'll have driver conflicts if you do. 3. Before installing your new card, did you change drivers to standard VGA and then delete the drivers for the original card? 4. Did you ensure palette snoop and bios mapping for the video card are turned off in the BIOS? ------------------

Ok, I have had absolutely no time to look into this lately. I do want to thank you for your suggestions, and I WILL try them just as soon as possible. I will keep you updated though.I do have the latest drivers for my Vid card. This happens when I double click the sdemons.exe icon.... even when I double click the app.exe icon. Nope, other games that I have tried are fine. 1. No.
2. I'll have to check that.
3. Yes I did.

Ok, I have made a little progress... I re-installed the game again, and I can get into it now. The problem now, is that I can't get into the options screen, or fly a mission. I click the Options button in the main menu...Crash....Click the Fly button... Crash Any ideas? IP: Logged |
