Hi, Could anyone tell me the meaning of the following radio calls:Form bracket left (right) Form split high (low) I am trying to record .wavs for Polish nation in SDOE but my problem is I haven't had any experience in moden military aviation in my country. In the period these radio calls belonged to (WWII) virtually all (and possibly all standarised ones) radio calls by Polish pilots, were made in English language as PAF flew in conjuction with RAF after september 1939. I myself am mostly 'educated' on English language aviation literature hence my ignorance of the mother tongue. Cheers IP: Logged |

Poniat,Actual meaning - sorry, no idea. At a guess though... 'Form'- change formation to. 'Bracket' & 'Split' - types of formations. Note - Although there are 63 .wav files to record, not all of them are utilised by the game (these two included). We record all the files in the hope that one day they will be Cheers, AGAS 5

In a bracket the two wingmen take up positions to either side of the enemy aircraft. From this position, whichever direction the bandit breaks, one of the two wingmen will have a run at his six o'clock.Hi-lo split is simply sending one aircraft low while the other remains high. Typically the low aircraft will engage the bandit while the high aircraft covers. ------------------ --jedi-- IP: Logged | |
