Hi,

I changed my very old Quickshot joystick for a F15E Talon and tried to calibrate It.
But when I try to do this, in the Control Panel Joystick Appletsystem a message is showed:
"Your joystick is not connected properly"
I checked all the connections and they look nice.

After a lot of attempts I got some progress but my joystick is weird yet! Like losing the center and balancing a lot. So it's difficult to manage the planes.
I tried to use stickworks, but it's working weird yet.
Someone already experienced this problem?
Is a Hardware problem or maybe software (Windows drivers, directx, etc.)?
As I'm not able to play SDOE for 2 weeks because of this, Help me, Please!

Thanks,

Loco

I don't know either of those sticks well, but if they came with drivers, are you sure you unloaded them and removed any reference to the old stick in your game controllers section of control panels in the Win OS?

Tanks Goth,

Buth both sticks doesn't need special drives. I'm using the standard 2 axles 4 buttons windows drivers.
F15Talon is easy to set up but I really can't calibrate it properly without that horrible message

You might check it out by attaching it to a friend's PC and see if the trouble duplicates. It might be a hardware (bad stick) problem. I doubt its a software problem since its acting up in more programs than just SDOE.

Anyone else have a suggestion?

Loco, the F-15 Talon is kickass isn't it? If only it would work properly! I think the quality control is crap because for most people they either work perfectly or not at all. I would just send it back straight away, it is in your warranty. I sent back my Split Throttle about 11 months after I got it after suffering for so long and I got a new one back inside 3 weeks without any hassle. But the one I got back is also wrong so I'll be asking for another soon!
