semmern Pilot	posted 12-22- 03:27 PM I can't get my patch working. It won't install properly. It works until I come to the DOS screen, then I get an error message. Speedbrake Pilot	posted 12-23- 05:36 AM Even if you got on-line you will need the patch installed as without it you will get a conflict with the other players. You have to have the same version of the program. I would do a complete uninstall and they start from scratch again installing the program and the patch right after - if you haven't tried that already. ------------------ IP: Logged

Razor747 Pilot	posted 12-23- 07:39 AM Semmern, Do you have the new keyboard update installed? If you do, you will need to reinstall FS, and then apply the patch. Michael Harrison General	posted 12-23- 10:16 AM Make sure that you completely uninstall FS, delete any files that may have been left by the uninstaller, reinstall it and then immediately apply the patch. If you still get the error, try re-downloading the patch and trying again. If that fails, let us know and we'll try something else. IP: Logged

ArgonV Pilot	posted 12-20- 10:18 PM Ive found that if you install Fighter Squadron to any other directory other than the default one, and apply the patch... it will not work. You can change the drive you put FS:SDOE on, you just cant change the directory structure. Install FS:SDOE to the default directory, start the game up once and load one mission, then exit and install the 1.5 patch. IP: Logged
nealg Pilot	posted 12-21- 12:07 AM Before going through the uninstall routine again, try this if you haven't yet. I had the same thing happen once a long while back, and this worked for me. Install the sim, then go in and set your options and fly a couple of missions. Then install the patch. That worked for me, dunno why.
