Am I confused again or is it not possible to acquire a kill by shooting the cockpit area of an aircraft thereby killing the pilot? It seems the only way to shoot down an aircraft is to shoot off the wings or the engines. after all, this is what Richthofen said to do. I believe most of the WWI planes that users have created have a pilot large enough that you can expect to get some hits on him. I believe that for WWII planes the cockpit canopy is what gets hit and absorbs the damage and none gets through to the pilot. IP: Logged Sunray Pilot posted 12-11- 05:29 PM                Hi. Thanks.
