Firstly, Did get a new processer, Athlon 900, goes nicely, Thanks for all the tips. Can my Banshee run at 1024x768 without everything getting of centre. Can't remember whether anyone fixed this problem. Next, Somehow, in the intallation of the new motherboard and chip, which I decided to take on myself, I somehow lost my powersupply and Modem. When I say lost I do of course mean, they reached the end of there lives. Bought a new power supply which solved that problem. I also purchaced a new modem the guy in the shop said that a PCI 56.6 was just fine, so I got one, I not sure whether I should be having regrets about this. I previously had an Internal (ISA) mode at 56.6. My ping has often been a source of amusement, so the right modem is critical. I can't buy another ISA Modem (can I?). The question is, should I have spent a bit extra and got an external or done something completely different? Please help, thanks in advance. TMcIver. IP: Logged |

Internal PCI modems are faster than internal ISA modems in terms of system performance. Wether a 56k internal ISA modem connets better or worse than a 56k internal PCI modem is beyond me. I know nothing about external modems.... IP: Logged |

Control+ and Control= will recenter your display I think. Initially it shrinks it to a tiny square but then you can expand it out to cover the whole screen again, and it should be centered.

Most internal PCI modems are WinModems. They're fine for surfing, but suck for games. You either need to make certain that it's a full modem, or go ahead and get an external.IP: Logged | |
