ok, i have installed nations 1 (not 2) and d/l pp6; tying to install it, but it says that data12.par file can't be copyed.
Question: is this error due to the lack of nations2 (it will take about 2-3 hours to d/l) or to pp6 file corruption?
In the second case, a pray: could someone with a website put the data12 file on it (it takes to me FOUR-FIVE HOURS to d/l again the whole pp6)?
Thank you for the answers, and don't worry, even if it takes a long time, it's not impossible for me re-downloading the pp6

seems to me I ran into a problem similar to this recently. Turned out the file in question had modified attributes (example- read only).

Check to make sure that the data12.par file found within your sdoe/media directory can be changed. Do this by opening windows explorer, navigate to the sdoe/media directory, and right-click (right hand mouse button) on the file. Choose 'properties' from the menu and you should see the attributes there. If 'read-only' is selected, change it to 'archive' and try your install again.

Regardless, I'd recommend starting from a fresh install, get the 1.5 patch in before anything, then install nations v2, and finally pp6.

Don't forget wwipack! (not required, but highly recommended)

Hope this helps.

Just to clarify Gustang's response, the data12 that couldn't be copied is likely the existing file (from previous planepack) not the new data12. The installer backsup the previous planepack to allow you the flexibility to return to the previous version. If the previous data file is marked readonly you may run into a problem, as suggested by Gustang.

I completely removed SDOE, then fresh reinstall (including 1.5 patch) but same problem (and infact there is no data12.par file copyed after the pp6 installation).
I think i'll d/l nations2 hoping this is the problem.
Thank you
Enrico
