Ok, i know it´s a flak, but did anybody have details. I never heard this name, was it an allies flak or what? And the flak37AA, should this be a german Acht-Acht?I´m on the way to change the flaks to more reality, i have done it with the Flakpanzer Moebelwagen. I think the SDOE flaks are to deadly. Swedish designed 40mm anti aircraft gun. Used extensively by the Allies as AA defence on ships, or on a variety of fixed or towed mounts for land based defence. IP: Logged |

Swedish, yes, but used extensively by both sides. Neutrality is very lucrative. Take a look at any vintage warships that may be a display/museum or whatever near home. Here in Canada there's tons of 'em all over. Ok, there's the Haida in Toronto and a bunch of Legions have 'em out front. IP: Logged |

Actually sun, Bofors was only used by allied forces. Oerlikon was used by everyone. The Germans prefered the 37mm to the 40mm. Rends, the 40mm Bofors was the main large caliber AA gun of the US, and to a degree other nations. The Brits had the 20mm quads, but we really stuck to the 40mm. If you watch any films of the US ships in the pacific, the large dual mounts with top fed guns are the Bofors. Or if you saw the movie 1941 with John Belushi, the gun outside the house was a Bofors. Hope it helps. ;}
