Folks:

I have a canvas texture that I want to lay on my WWI Zeppelin. I see that AC3D has a "tile" texture mode. How does that work?? I'd like to lay my rectangular texture over my lod and have AC3D repeat the pattern over the length of the Zeppilen hull?

Can anybody tell me about this AC3D feature??

Thanks, Ronin

It's easy to use in AC3D, you just set the texture properties to tile, and set the repeats.

What I would like to know, and which no-one has really looked at, is whether this can be used in game. I have never got it to work.

I need to do the same thing to my B17 interior. Even 256 long looks revolting when stretched B17 size. I can imagine the problem stretching a texture Zeppelin size!

The only thing I can suggest is to do what I am doing.

Instead of tiling the texture, I have taken a leaf out of the terrain book.

Take one texture, cut you large model into slices, texture each slice with the same texture, and then merge the slices back into a complete model. I'll know very soon if it works!!!!!

Hmmm So AC3D lets you tile but SDOE won't recognize it?

The Zep is already broken into multiple LODs in preparation for the DM. I want to show fire spreading down the hull jumping LOD to LOD. So it sounds like I'll just have to go with the single texture per LOD.

Thanks for the answer!
