Topic: Menu problems??? cant click properly

Oh dear well glide works but I have a hell of a tim in the menu folders trying to click on things objects disappear etc or cant get it to show the other squadrons.Any 1 else having this problem since direct x 8?IP: Logged |

I have had this problem since day one. Well I would of if FS had worked on day one, but once it did the menu's as they do to this day gave me trouble, disappearing and the like.IP: Logged |

Is the problem that the menu contents are invisible until you scroll the bar?Werner ------------------

I got this pb too Hawker ,and like werner said you just have to scroll the bar for making things appears.
I do have pb too with the chat window during online sessions in the lobby,but everything is fine when i m in game.
I also having big pb with screenshots ,sometimes after 5 or more min. in the game (offline) the prop turn into a very colorfull kaleidoscope and same for some ground texture and the aiming cross.Concerning the screenshots they look like 70's painting with flashing colors and 3D parts very blur?Anyone experienced that?

Ifbpro, this happens when your video card gets too hot. I recently installed a card with no heat sink (long story) and this happened. When it was replaced by the same card with a heat sink, the psychodelic colors went away.IP: Logged |

If i use alt tab and have menu in a window it correctsa the problem ,guess that will do for now hope it helps for you guyz too for a quick fix.IP: Logged |

If you are refering to the country selection scroll bar - I've noticed this problem too but only after I upgraded to the new Nations version.------------------

Hey ,jerry what ' a heat sink?
btw it's cool that somebody else experienced the probleme.the thing that i can't explain is that i only notice this after a certain delay (it never happens at once but only after 5 or more minutes,why???)
And if i try to take some screenshots they are all psyche but even if the game looks normal.Am i already said that?------------------

Ifbpro, it happens after 5 minutes or so because it's taking that long for your video chip to heat up before it goes bad...if your problem is heat, which it sounds like. A heat sink is a metal device which sits on top of your video chip and draws heat away from it. It usually has "vanes" and looks something like then when viewed from the edge |_|_|_|_|_|_|
VIDEO CHIP Try opening your computer and blowing a fan on your card to see if that improves things. If it does then you definitely have a heat problem.

But the weird thing is that happens only with sdoe this does not happen in fs2000 or so.And what about the screenshots?Which are bad since the first second of the game?
And if i launch a game right after it always took the same among of time????cheers ------------------

Thanks a lot Karaya2,i really have to know how to do that!i saw that i m not the only one.
I personnaly using directX8 and the last drivers from 3DFX for the voodoo 4 4500,and i experienced that effect only in Glide mode and it's not appearing since the biggining of the game,but after 10 or 15 mins.
I don't know if there is a link between that and the fact that actually i can't play onlline i m crashing more than 10 times before playing one mission ,it's only happen in the lobby.
Anyone see what i mean?------------------
