Just repeating what Nat said. You have to follow the instructions for this. One quick question though. Do you have Midway in your Missionseditor.ppf? It should look something like this.

dirTheater "Dover" "Africa" "Rhineland" "RhinelandWinter" "Midway" "Tundra" "Dovernight" "Pacific"

strTheater 'strDover 'strAfrica 'strRhineland 'RhinelandWinter 'Midway 'Tundra 'Dovernight 'Pacific

If its not there you need to add it.

from my site:
Installation Instructions:

1. Extract MidwaySM.zip to your Fighter Squadron/Media folder. All necessary sub folders will be created -----*Note----This install will overwrite your missioneditor.ppf, the ppf included in this install has the following Terrains "Dover" "Africa" "Rhineland" "snowydover" "Pacific" "Midway". If you have other terrains than these, you should back up your copy of the Missioneditor.ppf and then edit the new file adding the terrain details you have.

2. Download one or both Texture map options and extract the one you wish to use to your Fighter Squadron/Media folder.

3. You will need to create a mission using Mission Editor, I don't add test missions as these can sometimes lead to game crashes due to the possible inclusion of units or aircraft that you may not have.

Now, if in mission editor you don't have the option to creat a mission for Midway, then this means either you've installed incorrectly, or that you installed another terrain "after" installing Midway and the chages made have been over written, this is always going to be a problem with terrains so getting used to manualy editing the ppf file is a good idea.

I hope the reposting of the installation instructions helps

Vahnatai, mail me your missonseditor.ppf file and I'll take a look, or post it's contents here so we can see, you're the first person to mention any problems so it's probably something simple.

it baffles me aswell Diego no-one else has had these problems, it only really leaves me to suppose on a bad installation, but then, if their editor.ppf file is the same as mine it implies a correct installation, but also that they should be able to create a mission for midway, my only thought is to re-instal the terrain to be honest cause this has worked fine for everyone else, I'm not sure what else the problem could be And I agree, we put one helluva lot of work into learning how to build terrains, it's our terrain and it bugs me just as much that they can't get it working

er... the midway terrain is called Midway, not pacific, that'll explain why it's not working, have you got the Midway option in Mission Editor? Pacific is a completely different beta terrain done by Jaguar some time ago, the Midway terrain is called Midway and references to Missioneditor/midway/midway.sm and has nothing to do with pacific, you should check your ppf file again, and also check your installation of the Midway Terrain

as a further note, just incase you didn't know, my ppf file that I posted above has the Pacific, Snowydover and Singapore terrains listed because I have these installed, if you don't have these terrains installed and try to make missions for them then you'll get errors as you've shown above, I didn't take them out of the ppf file since most of the people here have those terrains, but also that if they didn't they know they can't create missions for them since they don't have them, keep me posted on how it goes cause I know the zip has everything you need and following the installation instructions everyone else has been fine, if there's a reason why this didn't install right for you I need to know why exactly

Vahnatai,
Great! What was it? As far as Singapore goes, well...we're working on it. Stay tuned for my Pacific terrain. Its not the Jaguar's Pacific beta.

Yeah Singapore is a slow moving project right now, we started it after Midway, but I got into technical problems building the terrain and it ended up hiding at the far end of the shelf.. lol I'm sure we'll get back to it, there's just no time scale on it.

Anyway, glad you finally got there with Midway

Happy Flying!
