I just replaced my Voodoo2 with a Voodoo3. Now when I return to the desktop after playing SDOE about half my icons are moved over to one side. My desktop is 1024X768 and I run SDOE at 800X600 so the resolution is switching back and forth but, it didn't make any difference with the Voodoo2.

What is causing this and more importantly, can I fix it? Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you reinstall DirectX?

Obviously, this is a case where Windows thinks you intentionally switched to 800x600.

I have a program at home that can save off icon arrangements for different desktop resolutions. And it'll restore them for you. You can have it do so automagically, or on your command. If I remember right, it's called EZDesk. I've been using it for years, and it seems to do its job well. You can proabably find it at winfiles.com, or through a search engine.
